Martin turned out to be an incredibly friendly guy. Born in Kyustendil, he decided to move to Blagoevgrad to study psychology.

"My friends recommended the Southwest university to me. Also, I was already familiar with the city, so I thought it would be a good idea."

Martin chose psychology not only because he finds it interesting, but also because it is universal.

​

"Psychology can be applied to anything you work, as well as your personal life. It helps you understand yourself and people better."

​

Being interested in psychology, he was curious to learn more about my project and I told him about some of the people I had encountered. He was surprised and amused by all the stories, and then scratched his head, sort of shy.

 

"I know mine is not the most interesting story, but..."

 

As a reader, it truly might not be the most extraordinary one. But trust me, as he spoke about psychology, it was obvious that he truly loves what he studies. His eyes were shining, his voice was filled with energy and enthusiasm. To me, that was a short, yet beautiful story. Even though our conversation was cut short by the bus leaving, I think he has a lot to say to the world.
